I Haunt My Own House

I Haunt My Own House is a musical journey that began in the 1970’s at the University of Rhode Island between guitarist Andrew Potter and artist Wheeler Cole, collaborating and creating a repertoire of timeless songs, steeped in influences of folk and country blues and jazz, with a modern twist of traditional sounds.
From the self-perspective opening tune I Haunt My Own House, to the witty You Might As Well Dance and ending the musical journey with a gambling song of heart folding regret in The Ace of Diamonds, Andrew Potter has a unique sound to his voice and guitar playing that fits beautifully with Wheeler Cole’s imaginative, storytelling lyrics. With each track on this album Andrew performs with a personal connection that the listener can easily relax into, and to sit back and listen. Beautiful!

UPCOMING
PAST
Andrew Potter is a finger-style guitarist, piano player and singer songwriter, performing an eclectic mix of original folk, blues, rock and jazz tunes and instrumentals. He performs his shows at bars, clubs, hotels and other venues in New England and the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Potter performs both solo and with a full band.
His new album consists of ten new songs on piano, (co-written with Wheeler Cole) featuring the rhythm section of Marty Ballou (Bass), Mark Teixeira, (Drums) and Lead and Slide Guitar by Mark Cutler.
The title track “Underwater Palace ” is a rock ballad on sea level rise.
His previous album of new original material, “I Haunt My Own House”, also co-written with his long time cohort Mr. Wheeler Cole. Potter’s driving syncopated guitar style and Cole’s sublime and snarky lyrics create vivid musings on family, love, hope, fate and regret.”
